Works and Services Provided by the Altar Society
Religious Service: Provision of Altar supplies, care of Altar linens and vestments, and enhancement of the beauty of the church.
- Altar Wine & Bread
- Altar Cloths & Linens
- Candles, Incense & Charcoal
- Chalices & Other Sacred Vessels
- Seasonal Needs: Advent Candles & Wreath, Ashes, Easter Candle, Banners
- Floral arrangements
Social Activities: Promote a spirit of sociability and good family life.- Community Night Dinners (5 each year).
- Funeral Luncheons.
- Memorial Mass intentions for parishioners & family of Altar Society members.
- Birthday, anniversary, get well, and sympathy cards to parishioners.
- Assist in decorating the church for Christmas.
- Annual Epiphany party for adults.
- Assist in the upkeep of the parish hall & kitchen (remodel, table cloths).
Charitable Donations:
· Honduran student sponsorship
· Christmas donation (Knights of Columbus).
· Baby supply drive for the Pregnancy Resource Center.
Our annual rummage sale on the first Friday and Saturday of June involves lots of preparation in the 2-3 weeks preceding the sale.
